Better help for new shortcut sets

When going to my account and 'Shortcuts' (http://d7-testing-2.scratchpads.eu/user#overlay=user/1/shortcuts) there is an empty field for the new shortscuts - at least that's what I thought since the help for this field suggests copying items. In reality this field is apparently just for the name of the new shortcut set, so the help line should reflect this and it wouldn't hurt to label the field.

The character project title is currently labeled "Label" (http://d7-testing-2.scratchpads.eu/user#overlay=admin/content/character-...). I would prefer to label it "Title" to avoid confusion.

Forum email integration

There is the option to add forum containers but it is not clear what the difference to a forum is because they show in the same way on http://d7-testing-2.scratchpads.eu/forum#overlay=admin/structure/forum. (There should be drag and drop on the page by the way).

Images show on taxon page overview but not media tab

I linked an image to a specimen. The image shows on http://d7-testing-2.scratchpads.eu/taxonomy/term/6622 for the overview but not under the Media tab. Same happens if I add an image directly to the site.

Show/hide "Authoring information"

Tweak distribution buttons (Region and Shape)

The move, region, point and shape buttons are confusing to new users.

Either change them to:
Move Map
Add Point
Add Region
Add Shape

OR
Move Map
+ Point
+ Shape
+ Region

Can we have some alt-text for the buttons?

Distribution maps, polygons help

There should be some help text for the 'Polygon' tab for the maps.
Since it is possible to create different polygons on one map it would be helpful if these polygons could be annotated to for example have a polygon for the native distribution and where the species has been introduced. The same would be good for the regions, actually.

Distribution map region select

When selecting a region on a distribution map sometimes a subregion gets selected and sometimes a higher region. There seems to be no way to control this. For subregions below or above country level, there should be the name of the region showing somewhere, so that one can actually check whether the correct region was selected.

Configure 'Recent content' dashboard block

The 'Recent content' dashboard block has a larger font than other blocks and lots of empty space between node title and user. Please switch to smaller font and make the block more space efficient so that more nodes can be seen without having to scroll.

Matrix editor doesn't save changes for several nodes

Checking two nodes at http://diptera.myspecies.info/matrix-editor/citation?op=start&id=38 and editing the Bibliography field changes the data only for one of the nodes.

I just discovered the distribution maps by chance hidden in the taxon descriptions. Why are they in there? If you add maps to descriptions, why don't you add the specimens and images in there as well and thinking about it, the nomenclatural data, too? If they have to stay in there they need to be findable, so on the page in the help line under < Taxon description >, distribution maps need to be mentioned and there also needs to be link when adding location to make people aware of the different option.

Taxon description taxon field

When adding a taxon description I have two fields "Taxon" and "Taxonomic Name". There needs to be some help text to explain the difference. In Scratchpads 1 the "Taxon" field was comparing the entry with EOL. Will that be the case in SP2, too?

Biblio import instructions

When adding a biblio node the message about the import should be visible before selecting a publication type. Instead of "Import into this content type from an Excel file." the message should refer to the usual biblio import formats, like bibtex or Endnote xml.
When clicking on the import link there again should not be the general Excel example but a specialized biblio import page.

Changing user password

Changing a user's password gives the following error, and also blanks the password field meaning that they can no longer login.

Do we need "Character project types"? Isn't it enough to say "Character projects"? Are there different types of character projects?

Hi, we are hoping to find ways to create links to taxa within our classification without using a node reference field. Here’s an example: within the taxonomy block on a given species page in our classification (eg: ), we want to include links to all the synonyms previously used for this name. Our initial thought was to include this function as a Node Reference field within the ITIS Name content type. This would give us the flexibility of allowing users to specify as many synonyms as they like in multiple text field by allowing an unlimited number of values.

Webform results

I cannot access the results of a webform (access is denied), and yet I am the maintainer of the website. I would like to be able to access every submission (like this one http://ecbol3.myspecies.info/node/2/submission/2) and also to be able to view the tab "results" where I can view all submissions in a table.
I made another webform on another scratchpad where I don't have problems (http://jemu.myspecies.info/publication-request).. I don't see where is the difference. Thank you very much for helping.

Select TDWG distribution regions from a list

Not all users will want/be able to select regions by clicking on the map.

We need an option to add regions by selection from a list AND/OR by searching for a region.

Location issues

When editing a location:
- the default view when you click on edit should be the point map, not the move map, so that people can directly move the point on the map
- "Move" needs to be changed into "Move map" otherwise people will think it means "Move point". At least add a "Move map" when you hover over "Map". I actually don't understand why you need the "Move" option at all, since you can move the map when you are on the "Point" option.
- Add "Edit point" when hovering over "Point+"
- Bug: it is currently not possible to move an existing point, only a new one.

- When I link a reference that is too long I get an error message "Reference cannot be longer than 128 characters but is currently 132 characters long."
- References should be selected by author, year and title, not just title.
- Why do we allow media to be uploaded to terms?

I usually put information on who holds the copyright on an image in the 'Notes' field and keep having to go find the copyright sign, which is annoying. Can we have an additional field like the keyword field where I add a name (e.g. "I. Brake" and when I view the node I will see an "© I. Brake" below the image?
